    An extensive warehouse of local, state, and federal data with automated pipelines delivering real-time feeds — including minute-by-minute TSA wait times at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

    The newsroom's leading voice on implementing generative AI tools in editorial workflows, working with standards and legal teams to ensure thoughtful deployment.

Investigations & data projects

  • Focus on Force

    Orlando Sentinel · 2016 · with Rene Stutzman

    A 10-month investigation of use of force by the Orlando Police Department, built by converting hundreds of paper records into a one-of-a-kind database. The work changed the department's use-of-force policies and was recognized by the Florida Bar and the Online News Association, which awarded it the University of Florida Award for Investigative Data Journalism.

    Orlando Sentinel · Knight Foundation grant

    A public feed of Florida legislative data available to any member of the public, built with a $35,000 grant I secured from the Knight Foundation.
