I'm Charles Minshew, Senior Editor for Data Journalism at The Atlanta Journal‑Constitution, where my team covers the South using data and open records.

Before the AJC, I was Director of Data Services at Investigative Reporters & Editors, an adjunct instructor at the Missouri School of Journalism, and a data reporter and graphic artist at the Orlando Sentinel. I teach data journalism and AI-assisted reporting at IRE and NICAR conferences, and serve on the board of the Georgia First Amendment Foundation.
